Hitech Declares Support for FirstNet Initiative

After attending a FirstNet event last week, Hitech declares its support.

Hitech Systems, Inc. attended FirstNet Colorado's XPSLTE 2016 event in Brighton, Colorado last week with LanguageMAPS. Together, they represented their integrated public safety software solution featuring LanguageMAPS's 1st Minute application and Hitech's SafetyNet CAD software.

The FirstNet event was directed at public safety professionals and included the opportunity to use devices, accessories, and applications that simulate the communications and coordination that occur during a real-life emergency response. The focus was on how public safety professionals can use a dedicated broadband network built on LTE technology.

The FirstNet initiative will facilitate communication at every level of public safety. It will provide a stable communication network between agencies, between communication centers, and between dispatchers and first responders in the field. The importance of such a network cannot be overlooked.

Holly Blanks, Director of International Business Development at Hitech Systems, Inc.

FirstNet is an independent government authority, and its mission is explained on its website: "...to build, operate and maintain the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. FirstNet will provide a single interoperable platform for emergency and daily public safety communications."

Hitech has been a longtime FirstNet supporter and is publicly declaring its support.

"The FirstNet initiative will facilitate communication at every level of public safety," explained Hitech representative Holly Blanks, Director of International Business Development. "It will provide a stable communication network between agencies, between communication centers, and between dispatchers and first responders in the field. The importance of such a network cannot be overlooked."

Lance Manning, CEO of LanguageMAPS, agrees. "FirstNet leadership is bringing public safety technology up to speed with that of other industries. A nationwide wireless broadband network will give first responders in the field the ability to use tools they otherwise can't without Internet access. Translation and location services are just the beginning."
